An ongoing forum for the Future Directions discussion begun at the 2010 NSDL Annual Meeting.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) announced in mid-February 2011 that it will not continue to support NSDL as a funding program within the Division of Undergraduate Education, Directorate for Undergraduate Education, as of September 30, 2011. This forum provides a point for community exploration and discussion of opportunities for NSDL's transition to a viable future configuration as a collaborative dedicated to advancing STEM education through technology-enabled delivery of teaching and learning resources, collections, tools and services, outreach, professional development, and partnership building. |

NSDL's Technical Network Services (TNS) collaborates closely with the NSDL Resource Center, and with Pathways, Services, and Targeted Research projects funded through NSF's National STEM Education Distributed Learning program . The TNS and RC are responsible for engaging the NSDL community in using and contributing to the NSDL platform through a process that makes available and enables community comment on specific guides, or roadmaps, to future development, based on formal and informal developer feedback. TNS seeks community input on the documents available from this forum.
