The other kind of 'digital divide'...

Here's an example of the differing practices between digital natives and digital immigrants (in Project Tomorrow Speak Up survey parlance!): two young girls, ages 10 and 12, were recently lost in a storm drain system in Adelaide, Australia. They had cell phones. Did they use it to call for help? No. Instead, in accord with their communications practices, they posted a status update message on Facebook, ultimately resulting in rescue, but with considerable delay! Read more on this story
